Mingo County, West Virginia resident Jerry Maynard got more than he bargained for last week when he called for the paramedics - some added police brutality.
Jerry was sitting at home drinking whisky when he began experiencing chest pains, so he called 9-1-1, not once, but twice!
For the second visit the ambulance was accompanied by two patrol cars.
It is unclear what exactly happened, but security camera footage clearly shows one of the deputies shoving Maynard to the ground, before Maynard says he threatened to kill him if he called 9-1-1 again.
The video seems to back up Maynard’s accusations, but what it doesn’t tell you is that he has a long history of run ins with the cops.
Maynard has a rap sheet that includes public intoxication, DUI and obstructing an officer.
So while he may not be entirely innocent, did he deserve to be assaulted?
An investigation is ongoing while the deputy in question has been placed on ‘administrative leave.”
