'The Motherland Calls' Soviet monument located in Mamayev Kurgan Memorial Complex in Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad), was built in 1967 in memory of those killed in the 'Battle of Stalingrad.' Drone footage captured Volgograd’s Grudinina mill, which has remained untouched since its destruction during the pivotal WWII Battle of Stalingrad. The Battle of Stalingrad is regarded as the largest and most deadly battle in the history of warfare and the turning point of the Second World War.
