End in Sight for Colombia Teachers' Strike

As it enters its third week, the Colombian teachers strike appears to be coming to an end. The Ministry of Education announced that authorities had reached a preliminary agreement with the Colombian Teachers Union for a 12% salary increase as offered by the government. However, there has been no official confirmation and the union will meet later today to vote on suspending the strike. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of teachers from across the country marched today in Bogota to demand better working conditions and higher wages. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota. teleSUR
