The 36th round of Colombia's peace talks are set to start in Havana, Cuba, centering on the removal of landmines. The military and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) had previously agreed on joint operations to clear the countryside of landmines and explosive devices, and peace advocates are pressing for additional measures to deescalate the conflict as well as government acceptance of the rebel proposal for a bilateral ceasefire. Meanwhile, the FARC renewed its call for the government to open its classified documents on the armed conflict. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota. teleSUR
