Following last week's episode of Nashville that ended in a hook-up between Jade and Luke, the couple have fast become enamored with each other.
In an exclusive sneak peek at this week's episode, the couple share a sweet moment in which Luke (Will Chase) insists to Jade (Christina Aguilera) that he's never seen her favorite romantic comedy, Notting Hill, joking that his favorite love story is Shawshank Redemption.
Following a make-out session, Jade opens up to Luke, telling him, "I really like having you here. You remind me to just slow down and breathe."
"If the last few days are any indication, I could understand why you might need the reminder," Luke replies. "I mean, being Jade St. John seems to be a full-time job," which is met with skepticism by Jade: "Oh, and being Luke Wheeler isn't?"
"Not at the moment," he says. "I mean, right now, I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her," Luke continues, fully quoting Julia Roberts' character in Notting Hill, revealing himself to be a softie at heart and fulfilling a number of our secret fantasies.
The episode, titled "Time Changes Things," will unfortunately be the last in Aguilera's arc – we'll be here to comfort Luke if he needs it – but Jade will be going out with a bang when she throws a "beachfront bash in her Malibu home which turns into an all-night rager," according to an ABC press release.
Meanwhile, Rayna (Connie Britton) travels to Natchez, Mississippi, to try to help Deacon (Charles Esten) deal with his disappointment over not getting a liver after all, and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) tries to jump-start her career with a rooftop concert.
Nashville airs Wednesdays (10 p.m. ET) on ABC.
