A conference with international activists was held Thursday in Damascus. The activists oppose foreign intervention and support and financing of extremist organizations in Syria, particularly on the part of their own governments. This position is supported by a majority of the population of these countries and most Syrians as well. A French delegation is also in the country to express their solidarity with the Syrian people.
