Solar Impulse, the fuel-free airplane, arrived in Nanjing in eastern China on Tuesday, completing the sixth leg of its round-the-world flight.
Pilot Bertrand Piccard successfully landed the solar-powered plane after a 17-hour flight from Chongqing in the country’s southwest.
The fuel-free plane plane will now be getting ready for its next challenge: crossing the Pacific. It aims to demonstrate that flying long distances using only renewable energy is possible.
