Indiana University is a prestigious state university with Jacobs School of Music ranking second and Kelley School of Business eighth in the US in the 2014/2015 academic year. It is led by Michael McRobbie, who became the 18th President of IU in 2007, and he was re-appointed in 2013 to serve another term in office until 2020!
Thanks to President McRobbie, who has been traveling extensively around the world to build strong relations with other world-class universities, IU has truly become a global institution for higher learning, attracting international students from worldwide and undertaking wide-ranging exchange and cooperation programs with the world's leading universities. After taking office at IU, President McRobbie has been visiting Korea once every two years to meet IU alumni as well as the representatives of IU's sister universities.
In 2014, President McRobbie was honored with the Anti-Defamation League's Man of Achievement Award, attesting to his dedication to the community and students. Join us this week to meet the man, who has been devoting his entire life to edifying and fostering creative, global individuals as an educator and mentor, as he shares insight on various matters including the financial burden arising from high tuition costs, the dramatic development of Korea and its higher education system, and the first-ever performances of the Chamber Orchestra from IU's Jacobs School of Music in Seoul.
