A Texas man shot two intruders in the 2700 block of Roaring Oaks Lane, Thursday afternoon after they tried to ransack his home.

The man who doesn’t want to be identified was in his bedroom working on his computer when two masked men jumped him and tied his hands and feet together with duct tape.

They started to choke him and said if he fought back they would kill him, so he pretended to pass out.

The men proceeded to steal goods in the home and tie up the homeowners friend’s son in the other room before leaving the home.

The Morton Ranch resident somehow broke free and grabbed his gun. He shot both thieves before police arrived.

A third suspect fled the scene, and three area schools: Morton Ranch Jr. High, Morton Ranch Elementary, and were in secure mode while officers were in pursuit of a man hunt in the area.

The two burglars who were captured had surgery at Memorial Hermann Hospital and are now in the custody of Houston Police.
