Pipi is a pipistrelle bat who lives at The Sanctuary, a home for animals that are unlikely to find suitable care elsewhere in Taiwan. The Sanctuary’s residents include amputee dogs, crippled cats, orphaned squirrels, injured pigeons, pigs who outgrew their homes, and, in the near future, deer from a farm whose antlers are cut off for Chinese medicine.

Unfortunately, the Sanctuary is being forced out of its previous location by neighbors who don’t like animals and is in urgent need of funds to move to a new location.
