You’d think by the time we hit our 50s or 60s we’d have love all figured out.

However, in Taoyuan yesterday, a 62 year old man, identified by his surname Peng, was upset that his 57-year-old girlfriend dumped him after eight years together.

Unable to handle the rejection, Peng chased her down and struck her with his car while she was riding her scooter to work.

Peng got out of his car and realizing she was still alive, returned with a can of bug spray from his car which he sprayed into her face, hoping to poison her.

When that didn’t work Peng dragged his ex-girlfriend into the back of his car and stabbed her multiple times with a pair of scissors. He then jumped into his car and drove off to go dispose of her body.

However, she wasn’t dead yet.

She climbed from the back of the car to the front, struggled with him, and crashed the car. She then got out and fled, screaming for help.

Peng will be brought up on charges of attempted homicide. Now he won’t have to worry about choosing a nursing home for himself.
