Japan’s Parliament only recently, June 2014 in fact, passed a bill banning child pornography.
But it’s good to know police are taking this new law seriously.

In March of this year, Japanese police arrested three individuals for the possession and spreading of child pornography.

The oldest was a 52 year old career salaryman, an unemployed 23 year old man and a 14 year old boy. All three were caught forwarding the images to other unidentified individuals.

Police say that it is not enough to only arrest individuals who abuse children to create child pornography, but that they must also arrest those who propagate the spread of these images.
