What started out as a pretty cool twist on the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe ended up injuring a photographer who was just trying to get the word out.
Restaurant chain TGI Fridays is celebrating the Christmas season 21st century-style by christening a new hashtag #togethermas on the internet in its tweets and Facebook posts, along with flying a drone with a mistletoe sprig underneath it around select restaurants.
Press photographer Georgine Benvenuto from the Brooklyn Daily was there trying to get the scoop on the new promotion at a TGI Fridays in Brooklyn, New York, and, let’s just say the drone took a strong liking to her face.
In the end, she came out with a cut nose and lip and the miniature mech stuck in her hair.
TGI Fridays corporate office issued a statement saying that it was sorry for the isolated incident on the last day of the promotion.
