Maria Alejandra Lafuente Caso, 40, who claimed she was abused by her husband, Allan Carrera Cuellar, 41, drugged him by adding sleeping pills to his drink before using a chainsaw to decapitate him and cut up the body, according to The Daily Mail.


Caso reportedly spread the body parts around Mexico City in black plastic bags. It wasn’t until children playing in park stumbled upon Cuellar’s head in a bag that an investigation was launched, as Caso had been sending her husband’s family text messages from his phone, fooling them into thinking he was still alive.


A forensic investigation of Caso’s home also found bits of blood, bone gristle and flesh in her bathroom and in the carpets.


Caso reportedly tried to use her knowledge as a psychologist to declare a mental illness so that she would not have to stand trial. However, an examination by a doctor showed she was completely sane, the Daily Mail reported.
