Fake Doogie Howser: teenage gynecologist wanna-be busted at Florida hospital

Let's say you're a doctor. You see a dude in a white lab coat who seems a bit young to be a doctor. Do you report your suspicions or just assume that kids are getting smarter these days?
A 17-year-old fake doctor managed to hang around St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach Florida for as long as a month before being busted on January 19. The teen reportedly wore a white lab coat with the word “anesthesiology” on it, but his real medical passion lie elsewhere.
An OB/GYN doctor at the facility told reporters that the boy approached him and asked to become his intern, because he was very interested in the field of gynecology. The hospital says no patients were actually treated by this Doogie Howser-wanna-be, but of course that's what the hospital would say. A local newspaper has, however, questioned the medical center’s claim that he never got near a real patient.
The unnamed teen was not charged after it was determined that he suffers from some sort of mental condition and he was released into the custody of his mom.
Lesson of the story: if your doctor looks a bit too baby-faced, you might want to get a second opinion.
