An octopus named Rambo has been trained to take photographs from her tank.
Based at Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium in Auckland, New Zealand, the cephalopod charges $2 in local currency to visitors who want to engage its services.
A camera designed for underwater use was rigged to her tank, and when it’s time to take a photo, she reaches any one of her tentacles into a red plunger that, when pressed, activates the shutter, taking a picture.
According to Mark Vette, the trainer who taught her the skill, Rambo learned the process very quickly--in only three tries.
