A seven months pregnant woman who answered a Craigslist advertisement for baby clothes had her unborn baby cut from her womb when she met the seller to purchase the clothing outside Boulder, Colorado on Wednesday.

Longmont police department said Dynel Lane, 34, posted an online ad claiming to have baby clothes for sale to lure the 26-year-old pregnant woman to her home in the 1600 block of Green Place.

According to the Denver Post, while the victim was left on the basement floor with a stab wound in her abdomen, Lane took the fetus to the hospital with her husband, claiming she had suffered a miscarriage.

The unborn 7-month-old was dead upon arrival at at Longmont United Hospital, ABC7 reported.

Longmont police officers “could hear a female calling for help inside the home,” according to a statement from Longmont police. “Officers entered the home and located a female who had been beaten and stabbed in the stomach.”

The victim was taken to same Longmont hospital where she underwent surgery and is expected to recover.

Longmont police arrested Lane at the hospital on Thursday. The mother of two faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse knowingly resulting in death.
