The Ruhr region is located at the center of Germany’s north-south and east-west transport corridor. Though the region is served by a rich network of motorways, congestion is a major issue. There are more traffic jams here than anywhere else in Germany. Many of the roads and bridges are in poor condition. For truck drivers, the daily grind can be stressful.
