Police in Fairfield, Maine arrested 24-year-old Christopher Wallace on Sunday, after the fugitive gave himself up -- twice -- via Snapchat.

Wallace was wanted for swiping two stoves from a sporting camp in Pierce Pond Township in January, according to the Somerset County Sheriff's Department.

On Sunday, Wallace sent out a Snapchat saying he was home in Fairfield. An anonymous tipster who received the Snapchat notified police.

Two Sheriff's officers and two cops showed up to the home. Erika Hall, 20, let them into the house but said she had not seen Wallace.

Upon sweeping the house, police officers did not find Wallace.

"Here's where things went bad for him," the Somerset County Sheriff's Office later posted on Facebook. "While the deputies/officers were wrapping up their search, Wallace posted again on Snapchat. This time he posted that the police were searching for him in the house, and that he was hiding in a cabinet."

Someone tipped off the officers again, and they found him in the cabinet.

"A search of the kitchen cabinets turned up some food, some pots and pans, and also a pair of feet," a sheriff's office spokesperson said.

Wallace faces charges of burglary, theft and violation of conditions of release.

Police also arrested Hall for "hindering apprehension."
