New information leaked from the cockpit voice recording of Germanwings flight 4U9525 reveals Captain Patrick Sondheimer yelled "Open the damn door!" minutes before the plane crashed into the French Alps.

Authorities have not released the recording, but a German newspaper reported the recovered black box holds 1.5 hours of audio.

During the 13 minutes Captain Sondheimer was locked out of the cockpit, he pleaded several times for Andreas Lubitz -- his 27-year-old co-pilot who is suspected of crashing the plane on purpose -- to let him back in.

"For God's sakes, open the door!" Sondheimer yelled around 10:32, according to the German newspaper Bild.

At 10:35, more "loud, metallic banging against the cockpit door" can be heard, accompanied by passengers screaming in the background. At that moment, the plane was still 7,000 meters (about 23,000 feet) above the ground.

At 10:38, the plane was just 13,000 feet off the ground and Lubitz was still breathing.

Then two minutes later, the right wing clipped the mountainside. The recording reveals passengers screamed as the wing made contact, and then the audio goes silent.

The plane crashed into the mountain at 430 mph, killing all 150 people on board.

Investigators reportedly found piles of pills and ripped up doctors' notes in Lubitz's apartment in Dusseldorf.

A doctor had written him two sick notes, deeming him unfit to work between March 16 and March 29, but he never told his employer.

Case prosecutors said the recent medical leave notes lead them to believe "the deceased kept his illness secret from his employer and his professional environment."

Investigators also said Lubitz had been experiencing recent vision problems stemming from his retina.

Authorities have not yet found the flight data recorder's memory card, which holds roughly 25 hours of information regarding the position and condition of the plane.

The flight data recorder is also referred to as a "black box."
