Volvo has developed a spray called LifePaint. The spray can be applied to bicycles and during the day, the coating isn't noticeable but at night it turns bright white when a source of light, take car headlights for example, shines on it.

Volvo has developed something that will hopefully make cycling at night a lot safer. It's a transparent spray that's called LifePaint. 

The spray can be applied to bicycles and during the day, the coating isn't noticeable but at night it turns bright white when a source of light, take car headlights for example, shines on it.

Although it looks like a paint, its actually not. The spray can be washed off after application and not only can it be used on bikes, but also on clothes, shoes and even dog collars.
