A Russian Soyuz ST-B rocket launched this evening from Kourou in French Guiana for a European mission to launch two Galileo navigation satellites into orbit. Liftoff ocurred at 21:46 UTC, March 27th 2015, just over 2 hours after a Soyuz launched three crew members into orbit heading for the International Space Station.

Galileo is a European version of the American GPS system and began launching satellites in 2011 with the launch of four in-orbit validation craft. The fully operational fleet began launching in 2014 with FM01 & FM02, unfortunately this flight, also on a Soyuz ST-B from Kourou placed the craft in the incorrect orbit.
