An upstate NY man had a memorable run-in with a goat and llama this week. The encounter was captured in the video below, which is clearly a scene from Homeward Bound XII: Goatta Get Home Now, in which our odd couple best friend protagonists—having already gotten free from the evil taxidermist and hit the fun montage-y part of their journey back to their farm in Nebraska—have wacky interactions with regular people. "This is real!" the bewildered and delighted man intones. "I guess I have a pet now."
"I was leaving work on a friday night when I thought I saw a dog," Stephen Peterson wrote about the video. "Turns out it was a goat in the middle of a business type district in Liverpool, NY. Then I got bum rushed by a Llama and it scared the hell out of me as you can tell by the screams." Or to make it clearer: the goat is the Dory-type, while the llama is more of a Marlin.
Peterson popped into the Reddit thread about the video:
Hey everyone, this is my video. I had just finished an after hours service call, I'm a plumber, and was walking to my pickup truck in front of our shop when the goat ambushed me. The commentary is all live, no headphones or anything, and I do apologize for not filming it horizontally. I was kind of spazzing out and didn't realize until it was too late.
As for those saying I have a good voice, thank you! Before being a plumber I was actually a radio news reporter and anchor. My dream is to become a professional voice actor / voice over guy.
Peterson also mentioned that the llama was very standoffish, but he was able to herd them back toward the nearby farm they had run away from...after some magical adventures, of course. "We spent the night prancing through the streets," he wrote. "We might start a band. I was able to return them to the owner after making some phone calls to try and figure out where the hell they came from."
