Researchers have completed a study on the state of the world’s forests, and the findings are not good.

Researchers from around the globe have completed a study on the state of the world’s forests, and the findings are not good.  

Based on their report, the “largest contiguous expanses of remaining forests” are down to two,  while the remainder has been segmented, often to the point of peril for the plants and animals that occupy them. 

The two largest expanses are the Amazon in South America and the Congo River Basin in Africa. 

The other wooded areas of the world have fallen prey to any number of human endeavors.
