US Tycoon Robert Durst who is facing a murder charge has been refused bail after a judge deemed him a flight risk.
Durst recently appeared in an HBO documentary which presented evidence that his handwriting matched that of the killer of a long time friend.
He was also captured on a microphone making an apparent confession.
Long a suspect in the disappearance of his wife, Kathleen Durst, in 1982, Durst was acquitted in the dismemberment killing of his male neighbour in 2003.
If found guilty, 71-year-old Durst could face the death penalty.
