Hi, Robert Powers here with Deland KIA, welcome back. Today I’m going to show you how easy it is to pair a cell phone to any of the KIA cars. Today we happen to be in a KIA that has navigation, but the steps are very similar with all cars. The first thing you need is a Bluetooth phone. This one happens to be a Samsung with android and then you want to go to settings which is going to look like a little gear shift knob and then make sure your blue tooth is on. Once your blue tooth is on all you do is push your phone button on your navigation system or your radio and it asks you/prompts you through. Do I want to pair a cell phone with….yes I do. Select the devise that matches the car name on the screen.
The device will come up as KIA Motors which you confirm. And once that’s confirmed you have a passcode and then you go okay. At this point your phone is paired and the next thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to go into your contacts download. Some cellphones will require an additional confirmation for that download and once that appears what you are going to see is “don’t ask again” and I’ll checkmark that and then go yes. At this point your phone is completely paired. Now you have three ways you can make a call once your phone is paired. You could pick up your phone and I could dial the normal way. I could also go to the phone button on the screen, go to contacts and now I can go to a specific contact and call them that way, or I can voice dial. And in this case with voice dialing you can dial a number or dial a person out of my contacts list. In this case we’re going to dial Deltona Golf.
