A U.S. official has acknowledged that there was a response to the cyber attack on Sony Pictures in November, though he didn't identify the responsible party.
Representative Michael McCaul, the chair of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, said, "There were some cyber responses to North Korea."
He said... an internet blackout in North Korea in December was one of the responses.
He did not say whether the U.S. was behind it or not, though there had been speculation that the U.S. may have been behind the outage.
Washington accuses Pyongyang of disrupting computers at Sony Pictures Entertainment and leaking internal content... while North Korea denies any involvement.
