In this tutorial I'm going to show you my workflow with Photomatix to make a portrait of Yoda.

1. Shoot a normal, over and under exposed photo of your subject. Here is a video for Canon users that shows you how to setup for HDR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM3rMHUgzjQ&index=9&list=PLJ6FIlZVNbQOx1rIbprjqQRgsXoseMgaA

2. I open them up directly in Photomatix and I compare the results of the “details extractor” and “optimizer” methods within Photomatix.

3. Then I retouch the contrast in Lightroom and go to Photoshop to blend the result with the retouched normal exposure.
