Venezuela has made major progress in combating malnutrition. A new report shows that 95% of Venezuelans eat three meals a day. The malnutrition rate is currently under 5%, which contrasts favorably with the 21% level before the Bolivarian Revolution under Hugo Chavez came to power. The government is seeking to further reduce the malnutrition rate through its social programs. teleSUR
