The Youth Parliament, in collaboration with Youth and Sports Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, organized Karachi Youth Convention-2015 under the theme of Hope and Challenges on Thursday, January, 15th, 2015, here in a local auditorium. Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad, Governor Sindh, who was the chief guest of the event, said, “If our youth gets educated, it will be very difficult for anyone to lead them towards wrong path.”

While applauding the efforts of the government, the Governor Sindh was of the view that kidnapping for ransom, extortion and target- killing cases had reduced significantly in Karachi. No such incident like Abbas Town, 2013, had recently occurred, despite all potential risks and threats. He further asserted that Pakistan had an edge on other countries, as most of the population comprised of youth which was our greatest asset.

Homage was paid to Top Ten youth of Pakistan who made significant efforts in various walks of life, during the year 2014, included some who even sacrificed their lives, in order to bring positive changes in the society and brought recognition and respect for the country. Aitzaz Hassan, a young school boy who had sacrificed his life in order to save other students, was on the top.

US-based Pakistani Haris Suleman, the youngest pilot of the world,who wished to fly across the globe was also paid glowing tribute. The no.2 of the Top Ten chart lost his life along with his father in a plane crash, while flying above the Pacific Ocean.

Malala Yousafzai, winner of Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2014 for her struggle for education,was on the third position of the a fore-mentioned chart.
