Believe it or not, film piracy goes way back before BitTorrent and those FBI warnings. Nope, ripping off films is as old as film itself. Piracy not only changed the movies... it BUILT the movies. Get ready to get Film School’D.

Turns out piracy, patent trolls and lawyers have been the same for pretty much ever. We’ll guide you through the convoluted history of Film piracy, from duplicating negatives, to unauthorized adaptations, and some pretty messed-up lawsuits, turns out the laws governing creativity and technology have always been pretty stupid.
