A health program that places an emphasis on the social dimensions of mental, physical, collective health, with an emphasis on prevention, along with recommendations and alternative solutions. Today we begin with a demonstration of first aid applied to a young man suffering from diabetic hipoglucemia. An expert alerts us to symptoms of dizziness, sweating, blurred vision and difficulty breathing and says that the person giving first aid must calm the affected person, give him or her something sweet to eat or drink, and call emergency services immediately. Next we learn two simple but effective exercises to strengthen the triceps on the underside of the arm. And finally, we meet Hortensia, a 70 year old woman diagnosed with breast cancer, the most common disease in many Latin American countries and around the world. Doctors tell us that it is almost impossible to prevent breast cancer from appearing, but the early detection of the disease with a mammogram is extremely important in order to take measures to prevent it from developing. Hortensia was able to complete her treatment satisfactorily and now works in a center for breast disease rehabilitation. teleSUR
