Its finding is connected to a traffic stop turned drug bust that occurred in nearby Bisbee. 

Authorities were tipped off to a truck that would be transporting a large quantity of drugs through the area. 

In addition to locating it and the 3 million dollars worth of marijuana nestled inside, police also came upon an unspecified cause to search the Naco home. 

An inspection of a garden shed on the property revealed the underground tunnel to Mexico. 

As far as such passageways go, this one is said to be a particularly sophisticated one. 

The shaft is reinforced with concrete and contains a hydraulic lift.
