Since September 2014, two CRPF women platoons have been stationed in Aurangabad (Bihar) and Bastar (Chhattisgarh), both Naxal infested zones.

Never before have women units spent such a substantial amount of time in the core of Maoist territory. Members of the platoon in Bastar share their stories with Hindustan Times.
