Film distributors and cinema halls owners, who claimed to have suffered huge losses following Rajinikanth-starrer Lingaa ’s poor run, have announced a mass begging protest throughout the State from next week. The protest is expected to begin outside the actor’s Chennai residence..

Addressing a media gathering at a studio in Vadapalani on Saturday evening, distributors from Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari and other parts of the State, including the north and south Arcot regions, claimed that they had incurred huge losses after distributing the film and demanded the immediate intervention of Rajinikanth.
