The Amur or Siberian tigers were recorded in a nature reserve in northeastern China and the animals seem to be quite content either resting, roaming or playing on the property.

The interaction between the tigers was captured by a camera trap installed by officials at WWF. John Barker, who leads the China and India Programmes at WWF UK, stated, "The opportunity is there. If the government, civil society and communities can work together, there’s no reason there shouldn’t be a sustainable population of tigers again in China."
