Officials there suspect it'll sell for somewhere around the 50 thousand dollar mark, but as one Heritage expert points out, it could easily go for more.
Bids are being accepted through the auction house’s website through February 20th and the auction dates are the 21st through the 22nd. The item description notes, "The black leather Mizuno glove...hauled in perhaps the most consequential home run of the modern Yankee dynasty and made a household name of its owner."
Sandlot use is apparent and the name 'Maier' is printed on the glove in what Heritage calls "child-like block lettering."
