Piling up milk inventories: its causes and remedies

Thanks to its abundance of nutrients, milk has been popular and called as the perfect food. But now, there are excess milk inventories everywhere in the world. In Korea, dairy farms are culling milk cows to curb excess milk production, while in the U.K., an increasing number of dairy farms are closing their businesses. China is discarding dozens of tons of milk a day. Just three years ago in early 2011, Korea had been worrying about a shortage of milk supplies. But now, the situation has reversed. Why is this happening? And are there any remedies that can resolve the worldwide slump in dairy farming?
