Ancelotti regrets Ramos' injury but puts trust in Varane and Nacho

Madrid, Feb 6 (EFE).- Real Madrid's Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed Friday that his side's defender, Sergio Ramos, will be sidelined with a torn hamstring for five weeks but made it clear he expects good performances from his midfield duo of Varane and Nacho.

"Sergio's significant injury will sideline him for five weeks, but I think I put my trust in (Raphael) Varane-Nacho (Fernandez)," the coach indicated.

"They are very good players, enthusiastic and eager to play, especially Nacho," Ancelotti said at a press conference on Friday.

"I am convinced they are going to give a good performance without any problems tomorrow at (Vicente) Calderon stadium," he added, referring to the derby against Atletico Madrid in the 22nd round of La Liga on Saturday.

"Sergio's injury is dangerous; we have to look into what happened. We have not had too many major muscle injuries," Madrid's Italian coach said.
