The Sheikh explains about Istikhara
IMPORTANT:
There is no evidence, no validity and no authenticity to having someone doing Istikhara on your behalf! The person him/herself need to do their own Istikhara. If the decision involves other people then each person needs to do Istikhara for themselves still.
This thinking..I'm not pious enough, I'm not righteous enough, doesn't make any sense. Allah is Allah.. He is accessible to you and everyone! All you have to do is make wudhu, face the Qibla, say Allahu Akbar and make 2 rakat voluntary (nafl) Salah and then say the du'a of Istikhara that our Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wasallam) taught us. That's it, you are talking to Allah, its that easy. If you do feel you are distant from Allah then fix the problem, don't create another problem, by asking a fake stranger to do Istikhara for you or doing something our Prophet (sal Allahu alayhi wasallam) never did.
Please stay away from anyone who is on the other side of the world offering to do Istikhara for you or offering instant Istikhara via Television/Satellite or on a Website!
Some of these fake people offering Istikhara say they see an image (like a face) as a result of them doing Istikhara on your behalf. They probably have never even met you or talked to you before and now they are making life changing decisions for you.
la illa ha illAllah. They make out that they have power of the unseen. Many people shockingly believe them and actually take a fake stranger's guidance instead of doing Istikhara themselves and asking Allah alone.
Allah created all of us. Allah created that fake person who claims to know the unseen who you are trusting to make decisions for you. Allah alone has knowledge of the unseen and our future. Allah alone knows what is best for us, not a stranger appearing righteous and knowledgeable on a TV screen or website.
May Allah (azza wa jal) guide all the fake healers and may Allah guide everyone who seeks their help and supports their wrongdoing, ameen.
