Skipper David Guillot was already well into his daily routine just off the coast of Victoria, Australia (off the southeastern tip of Australia) when he caught a surprise. Guillot and his crew operate trawlers, which are specialized commercial fishing boats, that drag large nets behind them to capture fish. What came up in the net this day was certainly nothing Guillot nor his crew had ever seen before.

According to the Sydney Morning Herold, Guillot stated, "The head on it was like something out of a horror movie. It was quite horrific looking ... It was quite scary actually." In reality, the skipper and his crew had pulled in a frilled shark, sometimes called a "living fossil" because very little about them have changed in 80 million years.

The shark literally looks like it's from a horror movie with over 300 teeth in 25 rows. So, it is quite understandable why the fishermen were a bit frightened when they pulled the shark aboard.
