John Edmark is an instructor for Stanford's Department of Art and Art History and currently lectures for the design program. Some of his classes include product design, design fundamentals, paper as a sculptural medium, and animation.

In addition to being extremely creative, John has a Masters of Science degree in both design and computer science. This advanced level of knowledge, skill, and intrigue has undoubtedly influenced his ability to create these kinetic sculptures. These kinetic sculptures are also known as transformable objects, in some areas.
