The trial of 35 members of the political party Batasuna, which was due to open this Thursday in Madrid after being postponed following the arrest of several defence lawyers, has been adjourned again.

The activists are accused of continuing their political activities for Batasuna - considered the political wing of the armed separatist group ETA - after it was banned in Spain in 2003. The party remains legal in France.
During its four-decade campaign for the independence of the Basque region, ETA has carried out shootings and bombings that have killed a total of 829 people, according to authorities.
One of the 35 defendants facing trial in Madrid is Aurore Martin, a French woman. Our correspondents went to meet her.
