The predominantly male-cast that starred in the original 80s flick is reportedly being swapped out for females. Negotiations are underway and one of the anticipated leading ladies is 'Bridesmaids' and 'The Heat' star Melissa McCarthy.

For some time, McCarthy's name has been mentioned in regards to the latest 'Ghostbusters' film, but director Paul Feig seemed to confirm it on Twitter.

On the social media site, Feig shared a photo of her next to three other actresses. Kristen Wiig along with Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones from 'Saturday Night Live' are als
