I know it's a common perception that politicians can use money and influence to do pretty much whatever the hell they want. Well, what if I told you that in Kentucky, there is an actual law that allows it. Passed in 1891, and for some reason, still on the books, Section 43 of the state Constitution gives lawmakers immunity from arrest while at work, or on their way to or from work. And that's a law drunk-driving Republican Brandon Smith is looking to exploit.
