Hundreds of people attended the Alasitas Fair in the Bolivian capital La Paz on Saturday (January 24), buying miniature replicas of things they would like to have one day. According to ancient Aymara indigenous beliefs, buying items that symbolise wealth and good fortune helps it come true, Alasita translates into “buy me” in Aymara.
