A drone that was transporting more than 6 pounds of drugs crashed on Tuesday. It was carrying 6 individually wrapped packages of methamphetamine when it dropped from the sky and hit the pavement of a grocery store parking lot in Tijuana, Mexico.

A Good Samaritan contacted police after seeing a then-unidentified object hit the ground. Upon arrival, officers saw the broken six-propeller drone with the bags of meth secured to it.

Reportedly the smugglers used pieces of black tape and plastic webbing to attach the drugs to the remote-controlled drone. It's uncertain at this time who was remotely directing it and where the unmanned aircraft came from, however Mexican police have launched an investigation into the case to find out.
