A Mexican federal court has filed charges against Maria de los Angeles Pineda Villa, wide of the former mayor of Iguala and allegedly a key member of the criminal gang Guerreros Unidos. She is accused of laundering money through a drug cartel. Pineda is considered by many to one of the prime suspects in the kidnapping and "disappearance" of 42 Ayotzinapa Teachers Training College students at the hands of Iguana police and members of Guerrero Unidos.
