The Venezuelan government recently distributed 415 tons of food throughout the country as a response to the so-called economic war. The Commune and Social Movement Minister, Elias Jaua, pointed out that rice production in the country has gone from less than 750 thousand tons in 1998 to more than a million tons today. teleSUR
