Afghan army takes over security duties in the country

Afghanistan's army and police have now officially taken over security duties from NATO forces.

President Ashraf Ghani has called on Afghan forces to defend the country from the Taliban.

His call came after a stray bomb - fired by the Afghan army - killed 26 women and children at a wedding party.

Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse reports from Kabul.
